If I think of Gemini Acts, I think of high detailed anime girls, with nice shadings and some fine lettering on the bottom. I have always been a fan of his work. So much detail on such a tiny label. My curiosity was asking him for his story for the Octulos Interviews.
Let's start off with a beer. What beer would you say is your favorite?
I do not drink alcohol. But if I have the opportunity to have a drink with you, I will have one of your recommended beers.
Your Anime girls with those fine lettering down below never gets boring. Where did your journey in art began?
I have loved drawing since I was a child and used to imitate Dragon Ball illustrations. When I was a little older I stopped drawing, but I used to scribble letters and illustrations on my desk in class. I didn't know about graffiti then, but it's the same thing I do now.
What’s the story behind the name: Gemini act3 ?
I have always felt strongly about the duality within me.
When I create a piece, the idea person in me says, “Hey, this looks fun.
The technical person in me says, “It's too difficult and beyond my capabilities.
On the other hand, I always feel strongly that I am both an artist who creates something and a fan who loves someone else's work
That's why I chose Gemini to represent myself.
ACT quoted from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Japanese Women Wrestler
Three is my favorite number.
How did you end up in the stickerscene ?
As I mentioned in my second question, I was the student who would scribble on my desk during class. And I liked to buy stickers and put them on my notebooks. It was inevitable that I would join the sticker community.
What inspired you to become an artist, and how did you develop your artistic skills?
My aunt, whom I see occasionally, told me, “As a child you were good at drawing, so you should be a painter.”
I thought that sounded interesting.
My style has 2 aspects in illustrator and writer
I need to learn both graffiti and Japanese manga illustration to create my current art style Illustration is easy to learn because there are many instructional books in Japan, but there is little information on graffiti, so I continue to analyze it by myself.
If you would have to describe your artistic style, what would you say?
Graffiti evolved in a Japanese style
Because I want to learn traditional graffiti, but also incorporate Japanese anime culture.
I haven't accomplished it yet, but it's my goal.
Can you share some of your favorite or most significant artistic projects or pieces you've created?
I usually enjoy painting anyway
I do my best possible when painting with someone
That's my limit at that point.
I believe you can confirm my current capabilities
What brands and tools do you use for your artwork and what do you recommend?
I use ballpoint pen, acrylic paint, oil-based markers and posca
I like the Japanese brand Mitsubishi. The quality is high and it works the way I want it to.
What do you like the most about what you do ?
I enjoy whatever I draw as long as I have fun.
Are there any artist you look up to now or in your earlier stage as an artist?
I like a Japanese painter named Rei Kamoi. His paintings are dark, but very beautiful and intriguing. I am also shocked by Japanese Ukiyoe recently. If it is overseas, I like impressionists such as Monet.
Everyone has their way of working. How do you approach the creative process, from conceptualization to completion?
I only think about having fun. What I am interested in affects my painting as it is.
For example, when I'm drawing Dragon Ball, that's when I'm inspired by Dragon Ball
I am always a fan of someone. And I am an artist.
But I study painting when I'm not creating my own artwork.

How do you stay motivated and overcome creative blocks or challenges in your work?
This is difficult. I regularly come to periods of not being able to paint or periods of weakness in my mind. In such cases, I try to recover by being inspired by someone else's work or by creating a work I like.
Whenever I feel like I'm really losing it, someone encourages me or praises me so I can keep painting.
Not every art, is for everyone. How do you handle critiques or feedback on your work, both positive and negative?
I was prepared to be criticized by some people because I illustrate anime on my graffiti
But the people in the sticker community are very kind and I have never been criticized
If I am criticized, I am not interested. I exist in this sticker community for fun. Positive feedback is always appreciated. I can keep painting.
The most thing I like to see in an artist is progress. What are your long-term artistic goals, and where do you see your art career heading in the future?
There are great artists in both illustration and graffiti
My current skills and sense of style have not kept up with theirs.
But my goal is to create an evolved graffiti in Japan.
So I need to work hard against two areas.
This is quite difficult. I do not know if I can reach it with my ability
I want to do my best to create a style that blends the two.
Some artists feel they have a deeper meaning regarding their artwork. Does your art have a deeper meaning to you?
I believe the essence of painting is to enjoy. And I want to enjoy it.

Do you have anything else you would like to share with the world?
It is important to have fun
