The Long Term Lifequest

Healthy State of Mind

In the last weeks of November, I was finally able to start my new job. The training lasts about three weeks, during which I’ve gotten to know several people. Each with their own personality, their own story, and their own perspective on the world. Meeting new people offers a different viewpoint on how you can see the world, and I’ve noticed how much you can learn from others. In the end, humans—unlike animals—are highly social beings. Some are more introverted, while others are more extroverted. Being social is essential for our mental health in this society. Unfortunately, not everyone in this world is equally fortunate when it comes to social experiences. That’s why it’s wise not to judge someone based on what is normal for one person but not for another.

I’m an introvert who enjoys meeting new people and gaining new experiences, but I also truly enjoy discovering new things on my own. Lately, I’ve been focusing a lot on finding a certain balance and control over my mental state. As I mentioned before, we are social beings, and social interaction acts as a positive stimulus for our mental health. One of my current goals is to not be dependent on social interaction to maintain my mental well-being. This doesn’t mean that I want to be alone or that I don’t want to have or maintain social connections. It’s more about developing a strong mind that I can use to achieve my personal goals. This is also reflected in my first blog.
