Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan is, to me, an anime that perfectly demonstrates how powerful a well-thought-out storyline can be. The series blends tension, mystery, and emotion in a way that keeps you engaged until the very end. Its strong character development, moral dilemmas, and clear beginning and conclusion make it a story that truly lingers.

For anyone who enjoys an intense anime with depth, meaningful choices, and a complete narrative, Attack on Titan is highly recommended. This is not just a show you watch — it’s an experience.

Fullmetal Alchemist will always remain my number one anime. After searching for a similar anime for a long time, Attack on Titan was recommended to me. I waited a few years before starting it, and in the end, I watched the entire series within a single week. From the very first episode, I was immediately hooked.

Each episode raised new questions, but the mysterious atmosphere of the series fueled my curiosity about what might happen next. The quality of the animation, the development of the characters, the raw intensity of the show, and the strong storyline kept me on the edge of my seat. In the end, I also finished this series completely within a week.

Attack on Titan consists of a total of 87 episodes and two specials, both of which are about an hour long. These two specials together form the conclusion of the series. It is not a long-running show with over a thousand episodes, and that is exactly what makes it perfect to me. This gives me more motivation to start watching it compared to an anime that seemingly never ends. I can understand why it is enjoyable when a series continues for a long time as long as it remains good, but for me, a compelling and well-thought-out ending will always be my preference.

In Attack on Titan, humanity lives trapped behind enormous walls, as the world outside is dominated by Titans—gigantic creatures that attack humans. These walls provide safety, but at the same time feel like a prison. Freedom is scarce, and fear is ever-present. Before the walls existed, nearly everything was destroyed by the Titans, and humanity was on the brink of extinction. By remaining within the walls, people were able to live safely. From time to time, a military unit was sent beyond the walls to assess the situation and security outside.

For an entire generation—about one hundred years—humanity lived relatively safely within these walls. There were three circular walls in total, each one surrounding the next. The story begins with Eren and his friends Mikasa and Armin. After humanity has lived in safety behind the walls for a hundred years, a breach suddenly appears, allowing Titans to invade one of the cities. It is in this moment of chaos that the story of these three friends truly begins, and the steps they take to protect their safety and freedom.

In addition, there are several characters that you get to know deeply throughout the series, including their emotions. Each of them has their own stories and goals, but they ultimately share one common objective: protecting safety and freedom. This is a series I can highly recommend if you truly enjoy a well-thought-out storyline and strong character development.

That is all I want to tell—and all you need to know.
